The Science Museum was founded in 1857 under Bennet Woodcroft from the collection of the Royal Society of Arts and surplus items from the Great Exhibition. It was part of the South Kensington Museum, which later split into the Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum
The museum houses a vast collection of scientific, technological, and industrial artifacts. Notable exhibits include the Clockmakers' Museum, which is the world's oldest clock and watch museum, and the Flight gallery, which features a replica of the Wright brothers' Wright Flyer
The museum offers interactive galleries such as the Launchpad and Pattern Pod, designed to engage children and adults with hands-on scientific experiences
